I had my first cosmetic surgery 2 years ago at a clinic. It was my first nose surgery, but I only went to that one clinic and ended up rushing into the surgery. I had a slightly short nose with a mild hump, and I had surgery without an implant. But they said that after opening my nose, if my septal cartilage was small, they would also use ear cartilage, so I said okay and decided to have the surgery. The clinic was clean, and the doctor I consulted with was kind and spoke gently, so I think I just trusted them. Anyway, they operated on my short nose using only septal cartilage. After the surgery, the doctor said my septal cartilage was a little smaller than expected, which was unfortunate, but that it still turned out well, you know? After the splint was removed, everyone I met within 2 weeks of surgery had no idea I had gotten nose surgery... even my own parents. If anything, when there was swelling, it at least looked somewhat acceptable, but now that even the swelling has gone down, it is lower than my original nose... and the short nose is still the same... ha... Why didn’t they use ear cartilage when my septal cartilage was smaller than expected?
I was going to just live with it because I’m older, but I got so annoyed that truly no one could tell I had nose surgery, so I went back to that clinic recently, you know? But during the consultation, the doctor talked with a mocking tone, and I was honestly dumbfounded. I’m not in my 20s or 30s, I’m a woman in my 40s with a child, and being treated like that made me wonder what kind of situation this even was.
Then they said they could put fascia in the columella to lower it a little, but told me to think carefully about whether I really wanted to do it again for such a tiny change, and recommended fat grafting, lifting, and lip filler haha
Having a short nose has been my complex my whole life, and after turning 40, I made a big decision to have my first surgery, but both nostrils are still visible..... No one knows... I’m seriously annoyed.
Anyway, what I want to say is, if you’re getting your first surgery, make sure to get a CT scan, know the size of your septal cartilage before surgery.... Definitely consult at several places, and the doctor’s first impression means absolutely nothing...ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ
