Based on my experience, in short, you cannot believe everything plastic surgeons say. For example, if it is medical science, what Doctor A says and what Doctor B says should match. Scientific and objective facts should not differ depending on doctors' opinions. However, what many doctors I visited said did not match. For example, one doctor said fat grafting could be done together with rhinoplasty, but the next doctor said that was impossible. Also, one doctor told me to use AlloDerm because autologous dermis would all get absorbed, so after hearing that, I asked the next doctor, and that doctor said that if side effects occur with AlloDerm there is absolutely no way to address them, and because they had experienced multiple failures, I should use autologous dermis. If I gave examples like this, there would be no end. So which doctor should I listen to? They were all so-called plastic surgery "specialists."
These countless "specialists" all say different things, and even for the same problem, their solutions are all different. What on earth is the system that produced all these countless specialists? By what standards were these specialists created? Isn't medical knowledge supposed to be science that has gone through countless clinical trials and verification? Among specialists who all say different things like this, patients become confused, cannot even make accurate judgments, and have no choice but to become victims within a factory-style system. Why should something so major that can determine a person's life be a matter of "luck of the draw"?
For those getting rhinoplasty for the first time, I am writing this because I honestly want to discourage you if at all possible. Once you do it, it is hard to escape the vicious cycle of revision surgeries. There are so many people suffering unnecessarily from failed rhinoplasty and side effects. Do not become a victim of this irrational system. If it is not because of illness or functional reasons, please reconsider cosmetic surgery, especially rhinoplasty.
