After entering university, I had always had a complex about my nose, so I recklessly read an interview with a plastic surgeon in a magazine, begged my mom, and went there.
It was in Nonhyeon-dong, and just then I ran into someone who had come in for a checkup a week after nose surgery. Their nose looked so natural and pretty that I thought I had come to the right place.
Looking back now, it really all depends on the individual case, but still, I felt reassured.
The result was not very satisfying. I didn't have any major side effects, but maybe because they shaved down the slightly hooked nasal bone too aggressively, the sides of my nose actually looked sunken, so my side profile didn't look that pretty.
And people also told me that the nose raised with silicone and ear cartilage didn't look natural and looked like Pinocchio's nose ㅠㅠ
In the end, in my late twenties, I decided to have revision surgery. Around that time, the tip of my nose also seemed to hurt a bit, and I hated my nose because it looked too much like Pinocchio's, so I looked for another plastic surgery clinic.
This time, not through a magazine, but through an acquaintance of my mom, I went to ㄷㄹ Plastic Surgery near Sinsa Station. I don't know if that place still exists. Since my nose hurt to begin with, I went in worried about inflammation, but when they operated, there was no inflammation, so I had surgery again with Gore-Tex and ear cartilage. It was better than the first surgery, but maybe because they had shaved down too much bone during the first surgery, the sunken area beside my nose was still there.
Still, for the past 13 years I lived without paying much attention to it (I even met my husband after the revision surgery, and he says he had no idea my nose had been operated on. I came out about my nose two years ago haha;)
But starting around last year, something white and round began to show at the tip of my nose ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ
Then it also went away again. These days, it is showing again. My husband says he can't see anything at all and is trying to stop me from having revision surgery. But honestly, it bothers me. ㅠㅠ
When I read reviews, I get so worried that I wonder if I should just cover it well with makeup and go around like that. But since it has gotten to the point where the tip of my nose shows through, I feel like the shape of the nasal tip has changed too, so I am moving toward the thought that I probably need to do something about it.
Anyway, I think many people here have said this too, but I really think plastic surgery is something you should start only after being extremely, extremely careful. I started in my early twenties and had revision surgery in my late twenties. If I end up having a third surgery now in my early forties... I wonder if I will have to do it again 10 years later.
My heart feels really heavy ㅠㅠㅠ
