It’s been a week since I had septal extension and the overlaid ear cartilage removed. The area where the ear cartilage had been placed lifts a little when I gently raise it and feels somewhat soft, but the columella area still feels like a rod is fixed there, and even when I press it, it feels hard.. I’m so anxious that maybe they didn’t do a complete removal and left a short support strut behind that I feel like I’m going to lose my mind again.. I strongly told them that I wanted complete removal.
Right after the removal, my nose definitely felt much lighter inside, but the foreign-body sensation in the columella area has gotten really severe again.. I don’t think contracture would have started after just one week... I’m wondering if I need to go to another hospital, open my nose again, and check. Even after removal surgery, I still can’t escape this endless worry...
