Phew... First of all, it has already been over a month since I started seriously looking around after beginning to consider nose surgery. I visited about 10 places for consultations, and I think I went to all the hospitals that are mainly mentioned here.
It seems like many people usually go to ㄷㅌ* for reconstruction... Even so, among many hospitals, the reasons I chose ㄷㅌ* are as follows. (These would be the advantages of ㄷㅌ*)
1. The director's expertise is extremely outstanding (if you have time, take a look at the director's blog; if you search on Google, an English version of the blog also comes up) 2. They do not use implants such as silicone (I'm in my 30s, so I don't have the time or circumstances for revision surgery... I wanted to finish with the first surgery, so I didn't want to take the risk of possible inflammation) 3. It is very easy to meet the director, and he gives detailed consultations 4. There is no sales manager
After receiving the surgery, I thought, ah, the director is very good at surgery... Now my splint has been removed, and my initial goals of improving my bulbous nose + reinforcing the T-zone + improving the nasal line have been achieved well..! I'm satisfied haha I think once the swelling goes down a bit more from here, it will become slimmer and prettier.
On the other hand, the disadvantages of ㄷㅌ* that I think of are as follows. 1. The surgery fee is relatively expensive 2. Unlike other plastic surgery clinics, the director is not the type to make guarantees 3. (Continuing from No. 2) He does not draw pictures in an easy-to-understand way for the patient showing how the nose will change 4. No parking support (even if it were supported... that parking lot is really not good; it's mechanical and takes too long) 5. I don't know if it's because he worked at a university hospital for a long time, but small costs keep adding up (fees for issuing certificates are separate too)
For disadvantages No. 2 and No. 3, in a way, I think they may be understandable... Since silicone is manufactured in a factory, you can get a clear sense of what the shape will be, but ㄷㅌ* uses autologous tissue... and with autologous tissue, you don't know how much there will be until it is harvested... So I think it is difficult for him to give patients a feeling clear enough for them to understand definitively... However, consultations with the director are always possible, so I recommend receiving consultations several times and often.. haha Then you get a sense of it.
