This is a case where I had orthodontic treatment when I was young, around middle school? I went through a lot while getting braces, but after finishing treatment, I heard a lot that my teeth were straight and that I looked pretty when I smiled, so it’s not something I regret so much that I’d beat the ground over it. But unless it’s a case of severe snaggle teeth or misaligned dentition, I don’t really want to recommend orthodontic treatment. As time passes, the teeth do move little by little to some extent.... They don’t stay exactly the way they were when treatment ended. In between, I also had temporomandibular joint disorder (I was eating something that wasn’t even hard food, and it felt like my jawbone shifted out of place, then I couldn’t open my mouth) I got orthodontic treatment to make my protruding mouth go in;;;; but externally, I don’t think the protruding mouth was corrected that much. If anything, I feel like my mouth protrudes more now lololololㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ I even had extractions, but maybe because the spaces were all used up while evening out my dentition, it feels more protruded (maybe because my teeth themselves are thick and wide) There are many cases like Yuna Kim where people became prettier after orthodontic treatment, but,, honestly, if anyone is thinking of getting orthodontic treatment for such dramatic cosmetic purposes, I hope you think about it one more time .............
