I once got Ultherapy through a group purchase at a cafe I used to go to, while fully awake, and it hurt insanely badly. After getting one side done, I didn’t want to continue, but they told me to just endure a little more, so I barely managed to finish it. At that time, I barely felt any effect, but because the pain was so severe, I got it done under sedation with stronger energy settings. Then it definitely had more of an effect than the first time. I think I’m more sensitive to ultrasound-type pain than radiofrequency-type pain. In my case, I think it would be better to get it done with higher energy at a hospital that safely provides anesthesia.
