There wasn't much waiting time, and they recommended forehead lift + forehead reduction surgery, then eye surgery 3 months later. The doctor pressed on my forehead, told me to open my eyes, checked various things, and recommended a forehead lift + reduction. But it didn't feel like they explained things in detail. They said if I usually wear bangs down, I don't necessarily need forehead reduction. When I asked whether the change would be dramatic, they said it would not. I think maybe it's because I'm already opening my eyes tremendously with forehead muscle strength. A 20 mm reduction is possible, and they said they would go in with corrugator muscle resection during the lift. They told me forehead reduction leaves a scar. The director has 10 years of experience. 2. Plastic surgery clinic, Director T.Y.H. They asked whether I had received a COVID vaccine and whether my hair was oily or normal, and took various photos too (including frowning photos, etc.) The consultation with the director was good.. (consultation fee 10,000 KRW) They pressed on my forehead and told me to open my eyes, and likewise concluded forehead lift + reduction + double eyelid surgery. They also explained in detail why. They said my forehead is already opening a lot because I use forehead muscle strength, so it would only become slightly larger than now. The reason forehead reduction is needed is that my scalp is loose, so if I only do a forehead lift, it would be pushed back by more than 1 cm, and if that happens, the maintenance period would also be shorter, so they do not recommend doing only a forehead lift. They told me to try eye surgery first, because if my goal is bigger eyes, then just doing the eyes is the right choice.. They said my eyes absolutely do not need ptosis correction, and explained why too. An 18 mm reduction is possible, and they said they would go in with a corrugator muscle incision during the lift. Likewise, a forehead reduction scar will remain. Since they are in their mid-40s, I think they have similar experience. Cost 6.05 million KRW, no review discount at all, fixed pricing. Scar laser and so on seem better here.
The consultation itself was better at clinic 2, but I put down a deposit thinking I would do it at clinic 1. The biggest reason is that from watching YouTube, resection seems able to lift more sufficiently than just an incision, and there is also said to be a difference in how long it lasts (though many people say incision alone is enough). Also, in one review, someone said their forehead came back down not long after having surgery with Director T.Y.H... To me, the resection method seemed more convincing. (Of course, I can't say it was because of that.) Also, rather than doing it conservatively, I wanted a somewhat more dramatic change. Cost is also a factor, and clinic 2 has almost no review photos, so it's hard to compare before and after.
