Abdominal swelling after autologous rib rhinoplasty

[@haruholic] Take antibiotics and go to a hospital for a check-up! The autologous rib-cartilage area is at most about 3 cm, so it usually doesn’t swell all the way to the abdomen (at least that was my case)

[@지젤투] Heh… it’s really up to each person. I didn’t have that, but this autologous-rib thing is oddly uncomfortable. Even when the pain got better, the tingling still stayed after day 14, and it kind of made me hesitate to go out. It feels like my energy is being taken away…? My nose also isn’t very healed, and below the chest it still tingles. In blog posts or reviews, I see people doing everything, like meeting friends, even after day 7. Are those people made of steel?

It does seem like energy gets drained, so this isn’t something to take lightly My pain is somewhat okay, but my abdomen is so swollen that even walking is hard Ehh, time is supposed to be the medicine, but why is this time not passing as quickly as it usually does? Let’s try to get through it.

[@콩이이22] Yes, it was okay. After a few days, I got super thirsty, then urine kept increasing, and it drained out steadily, and the swelling all went away.

[@지젤투] I’m day 2 Was it supposed to be day 3 since surgery was Monday Will it subside after about one week? Did you wear an abdominal binder?

[@콩이이22] I think wearing a belly wrap usually needs to pass about a week... I was worried, but it did go away. My belly was super swollen like I were late-stage pregnant and food wouldn’t go in, so I got irritated, but it all disappeared. Time is the healer Hang in there
