I’d like to write a review of my plastic surgery. When I was 20, right after graduating, I went to get the double eyelid surgery I had wanted. Because I lived outside Seoul, I had to go up to Seoul and travel back and forth by bus, so after researching online, the place I went to was D♡I♡ Plastic Surgery.
At the time, that place had a lot of promotional photos, and I thought their results looked natural and that they were the best. My mom didn’t really know much either, so she let me do it where I wanted.
I don’t know how it has changed now. Thinking about it now, it’s so funny. I went all the way from outside Seoul to Seoul and had the first consultation. And yet I didn’t even see the doctor’s face once, only talked briefly with the coordinator and paid a deposit~ Of course the coordinator was nice, but you can safely skip plastic surgery clinics where you don’t get a doctor consultation lol Thinking about it now, it’s absurd lol
The price was for buried-suture double eyelid surgery and epicanthoplasty, and I think I paid around 2.2 million won. That was even after a student discount.. it had been lowered. Thinking about it now, the coordinator acted like she was being very generous, but it was expensive^^
On the surgery appointment day, I went to Seoul again, and the surgery was at 7 p.m. lol They clearly knew I was from outside Seoul lol but scheduled it like that. The director looked exhausted, spent about 3-5 minutes doing the design roughly, seriously so roughly lol These days, when you look at reviews, they draw the design based on proportions with the eyebrows and everything~ There was almost none of that. Just quick strokes lololol Of course, maybe it was because he was very confident.. And then I went straight onto the operating table~
In the reviews, they said the director was very kind too lol But when I went, he barely spoke and had no expression lolol I think all the blogs were promotional too. I feel like communities like this are the only places you can trust~ “The anesthesia will sting,” was the only thing I heard
Anyway, the surgery was done like that, and fortunately it turned out naturally and well. Maybe it was because it was the buried-suture method. But during surgery, the doctor told me to open my eyes, then said, “Ah... your eye-opening strength is weak..” He said that during the surgery lol If I had had a proper consultation with the doctor, this wouldn’t have happened, and I would rather have added ptosis correction lol Even though I was young then, hearing that was absurd
Anyway, fortunately, whether his skills were okay or because it was buried-suture, the swelling went down quickly, and on graduation day, my classmates said it turned out really well.
But as time passed, after a few years, it changed into an unattractive inline crease, and because my eye-opening strength is lacking, my two eyes have definitely become uneven, so I’m looking into revision surgery now~ It wasn’t bad, but I don’t think it was amazing for the price.
Back then I didn’t know anything, so I only searched through promotional blogs or before-and-after photo reviews, and there are a lot of natural-looking before-and-after photos. Of course, I wouldn’t call it a blacklist clinic, but it’s true that I was disappointed.
It’s good that they earn a lot of money, but I do think it would have been better if they had a system where they could accommodate patients and perform to the level of their capabilities.
