Eye Surgery Considerations

Paradia Community Review

The manager? coordinator was kind. I had a consultation with the male director. During the consultation, his way of speaking and gestures made him seem extremely proud. He tapped my face quite hard with something like a wooden stick, and I wasn’t planning to shave the 45-degree cheekbone area, but he said that if I had surgery, it should be shaved together.. I said I was worried because I’d heard that shaving the 45-degree cheekbone area can cause cheek sagging, and he asked where and from whom I heard that, told me not to listen to non-specialists, and said that if cheek sagging occurred, it meant the surgeon who operated lacked skill. Even if I did it, cheek sagging would not occur. I feel like I heard only this line about 10 times. It seemed like the word “sagging” slightly pushed his button.. (Ah.. yes.. I understand, I said, but throughout the consultation he repeatedly said he was flustered that I had heard strange claims that sagging happens and came in for a consultation lol Sorry I guess I was foolish for worrying about sagging..) I thought sagging was less of a side effect and more like an action-reaction kind of thing..! And while showing before-and-after photos of facial contouring patients, he said, look, does this look like sagging happened? So I asked how long after surgery the photos were, and he said 6 months, 1 year… I quietly thought to myself, if it’s only been 1 year, then of course sagging wouldn’t happen yet..! Well, maybe that’s because I’m not a specialist, right?! Also, rather than feeling like my questions were answered and my curiosity was resolved, it felt like he didn’t catch the context of my questions or gave answers that didn’t match the questions, so there were quite a few moments where I was like, huh..(?)! Maybe I should have asked my questions properly~ And I thought the sagging topic was over, but he would return again to saying sagging doesn’t happen.. lol He kept asking if I had more questions and to keep asking anything I was curious about, but in the end his answers seemed to be mostly centered on what the doctor himself wanted to say. Since he’s the expert, I guess he knows better than me..? haha I had the consultation first without taking a CT scan, then was told that a CT scan was needed for an accurate consultation, so I paid 10,000 won, took the CT scan again, and went back in for another consultation, but I’m not sure whether it was particularly more detailed. He seemed to have tremendous pride in full facial contouring bone shaving, so I thought, he must be a long-time expert~^^
