11 months after non-extraction correction for protruding teeth

The upper left canine was protruding and the molars were not fitting together, so I got orthodontic treatment. At first, they said I would have to choose between non-extraction treatment and extracting one lower right front tooth, so I waited, but they ended up doing non-extraction anyway. Back then I thought it was fortunate because if they removed a front tooth, my teeth would look weird when I opened my mouth, but now I think it might have been better to extract one (but I still don't understand why, when the upper teeth were the protruding ones, they removed a lower tooth). Anyway, they removed the braces exactly one day before the two-year mark, but even after doing all the interproximal reduction they could, my front teeth still became protrusive and my mouth stuck out more than before, and my midline also does not match. The upper teeth are shifted to the right and the lower teeth to the left. They inserted screws into my gums, then took them out because they got loose, then inserted them again, then took them out again, but in the end they did not use them. I still do not know why they were inserted in the first place. It only hurt like crazy when they removed them because they said they had become looseㅠ Since I got whitening as a free service just because I had orthodontic treatment, I do not really feel satisfied with anything except that my teeth became whiter.
