I heard that in Gangnam I could pay in installments of 200,000 won a month, so I made up my mind and did partial orthodontic treatment (regular wire braces) followed by Invisalign (clear aligners).
The partial orthodontic treatment took about 7 months. It was done because my molars were tilted, so honestly there wasn’t much external change ㅠ
And then I did Invisalign for about 16 months. It was without extractions. Externally, it definitely felt much more organized after the treatment. I had to wear it at least 20 hours a day, and I followed the doctor’s instructions and kept the wear time properly. But near the end of the first round, the aligners kept lifting up(?) so they said I’d need a second round of treatment. There was no extra cost though!!!
If I were to write about the first round of treatment, cosmetically I’m satisfied, but there are more things I have to pay attention to, so it’s a bit ㅜㅜㅠ First, food gets stuck much more easily than before treatment... When eating meat, I can’t do without floss ㅠㅠㅜ And food also gets stuck between my teeth when I eat rice... I live with floss attached to me ㅜㅠ Even though I took good care of them, I don’t know whether black triangles formed or my teeth are just really large... Even after orthodontic treatment, maybe my tooth shape is just weird, but it didn’t end up looking extremely neatly aligned ㅠ If you look at the tooth line, it did become aligned ㅜㅜ
So now I’m doing a second round of Invisalign treatment.
