It’s been 5 days since I had facial implant surgery at Apgujeong Ivy Plastic Surgery Clinic. I had 5 mm inserted on each side through an incision inside the nose, and I’m satisfied with the result.
Just as I’d heard, the director, consultation manager, and nurses were all kind, and before the surgery they reassured me with warm words so I wouldn’t be scared, which made it easy to go through the surgery. In particular, the director said confidently that they had run the hospital for 19 years and had never had a single complaint, which gave me trust. For safety reasons, they also kept the sedation time short at 10 minutes, which was reassuring. The staff also made sure I could rest on a warm bed after the surgery before going home.
The next day after surgery, my face was very swollen and looked like a monkey’s face, but from the third day the swelling went down quickly, and now it doesn’t look like I had surgery much at all. It hasn’t completely gone down yet, but I think most people wouldn’t notice unless I told them. I’d heard facial implant surgery can easily make you look like a monkey, but I’m satisfied because only the treated area was filled and there weren’t any other changes to my face. (The area just above the treated site is still swollen, so it looks a little shadowed, but it should be fine once the swelling goes down completely.)
More than anything, the director clearly explained the procedure with confidence and took responsibility for the surgery, so I’d like to come back for other procedures later. I’d heard a lot that the hospital facilities were somewhat old, but they recently moved to a new location, so it felt like a new hospital and the facilities were spotless and excellent.
