I had nose revision surgery from Dr. Byeon 6 years ago. It was my third surgery, so even during the operation (under local anesthesia) I told them to just use a low silicone implant... but they gave me a 4 mm one. The nose was pretty, but I didn't want a high nose.... About 3 months after the surgery, the bridge of my nose started showing redness, but I managed to live with it for 6 years because makeup could cover it... When I went for a consultation to have it removed, they recommended using autologous dermis and tried not to remove it properly. I didn't know the difference in attitude before and after surgery would be this dramatic. They said they could only remove the silicone from the bridge because the problem was on the bridge, and they couldn't remove the tip, saying I should keep doing autologous dermis... They said if I used autologous dermis, the tip would also be ear cartilage, so there would be no future worry about inflammation... But when I requested my medical records from another hospital to get it removed, they told me something different. They said there was Medpor in the nasal tip... The records were missing the details about the bridge material... Later I had it removed somewhere else, and the bridge wasn't straight silicone but L-shaped silicone... I honestly feel so betrayed.
