It has been exactly 4 days since I had only the silicone removed through a closed approach. I got my splint removed~ I was so curious because I couldn't see my nose on the day of surgery, but after the splint came off, without realizing it I went, “Ahh!” It looks so wide and ugly... lol I got my first shock, couldn't get my head together, and came out after receiving the rest of the care.
I'm still taped, but it looks better with the tape on. It looked better with the splint on too. lol
I tried to get used to it, so I took the tape off by myself, took photos, looked in the mirror, and got startled. I put the tape back on now, and I don't think I did it properly, but well, it's okay enough...
They said there is still swelling on the nasal bridge and the incised-side nasal ala, and that it will look better once it goes down, so I'm believing that it will. I thought I had barely swollen at all since the day of surgery, but I guess the nose did swell.
I don't think there is any upturning. As for the nasal tip, well, to the naked eye it looks similar before surgery, before removal, and after removal. I think it's because I originally had a lot of flesh on my nose and there wasn't much manipulation. In a funny-sad way, during removal consultations I was also told every time that the cosmetic surgery had not been done very well either (that my original flaws had not been well corrected)...
The pinching on one side of my nose that appeared after cosmetic surgery did not improve even after removal. I had been told in advance that it would not improve because they would not touch the nasal tip, but it really is the same. Still, I don't regret having a small-scale removal without touching the nasal tip.
The photos are before removal / after removal. The side view comes out relatively less strange. The front view, sigh... please let the swelling go down ㅠㅠ I felt it again, but my original nose really had a low glabella area and was spread out. They said the nasal bridge may have been shaved very slightly, but not enough to worry about.
Now I have to get used to this face again. I liked having a high nasal bridge, but it feels refreshing to be freed from always worrying about the silicone ^^ It's a happiness I wouldn't have known if I hadn't had surgery, but I spent money, spent time, went through hardship, and learned a lesson...
This may sound funny, but I still don't regret having nose surgery. I had heard so many times that my face only needed my nose done, and I was the only one in my family with a low nose, so I was really curious what it would feel like to have a high nose. Now that I've returned to my low nose, I want to love my low nose more than I did before..
