Breast Surgery Reviews

Day 4 after breast surgery!

[Day of surgery] Before surgery, the coordinator asked me to send photos of breast designs I liked. She said they would put them up in the operating room, so I spent several days choosing carefully. Honestly, unless wearing a bra, I rarely get to see bare breasts, so I had no idea what kind looked beautiful, but after looking at many photos, I developed my own preferences haha. On the day of surgery, the director designed everything carefully and personally read through the consent form before surgery. They said it was because they were a strict adherent to principles, but that image was impressive and moving. Have you ever seen a clinic where the director personally explains and obtains consent? It was my first time. When I was taken to the operating room, the anesthesiologist came in and we talked briefly. When I opened my eyes, I was in the recovery room. I was in so much pain and completely out of it that I could barely say, “Please give me pain medication,” but they said I was already receiving it haha. While I was still dazed, the director came in too. When I said it hurt a lot, they said it was supposed to hurt at that stage and that I wouldn’t even remember they had come, then left. While I was receiving another bag of pain medication, the nurse said the director would come back to check on me after finishing surgery. They seemed a little delayed, but came in while I was still groggy. They explained that the surgery had gone well and that they had inserted 285 cc on both sides equally, which actually gave better balance. (Originally I planned to have 265 cc and 285 cc. But after looking at review photos, the breasts operated on with the size recommended by the director looked prettier. So I went into the operating room thinking I would leave the details to the director.) [Evening of surgery] After coming home, I wasn’t mentally clear enough to examine the shape. I only thought my skin looked extremely shiny, almost like glass, perhaps because it had been stretched. Also, my throat hurts even when I only drink water, maybe because of the endotracheal tube! My mom, who came with me, said she was curious, so I showed her, and she said they would probably look very pretty. Even then I was still too out of it to look properly; they felt so tight haha. [Postoperative days 1–2] Days 1 and 2 were almost the same. My chest felt tight and uncomfortable, so I kept thinking, “Why did I do this?” and “Is this right?” Even with a triangular pillow, I couldn’t sleep well, so please take note T_T Also, if you keep bowls or similar items in the upper cabinets, move them down or take them out in advance. You can’t raise your arms. (For reference, my incision was in the armpit!) On day 2, I went to a salon to wash my hair and ordered rice soup. Even though my incision was in the armpit, eating was no problem at all haha. But as they said, the swelling moved down toward my abdomen. My stomach became very bloated, and personally the swelling was worst on day 2. [Postoperative days 3–4] I’m still constipated, but the tightness in my chest feels a little better. With an armpit incision, they put cotton and tape over the Dermabond on the incision. Both sides came off, so I put the extra tape the clinic gave me over them. Today I wore a low-cut pajama top (because it’s easy to put on and take off!) and happened to see my breasts while washing my face. For the first time since surgery, I thought, “Oh, will cleavage form like this? It might look pretty.” Of course, I’m still wearing a compression garment, so it’s not as if I can actually see cleavage yet haha. It’s too early to judge the shape, but I’m starting to feel a little excited.
