For a really long time, I debated whether or not to get alar reduction, but then I thought if I was going to keep worrying, I might as well just do it. So I started looking into clinics about a month ago and went around for consultations last week.. I consulted with more than 10 places just through KakaoTalk!
Among them, I went in person to places with reasonable prices? (in the 2 million KRW range) and lots of review photos! I worry so much that throughout the consultations I kept asking about side effects,, I think all the clinics I visited were kind, but among them I kept debating between two places that I just felt drawn to.
One place recommended MISKO and alar reduction, and the other recommended alar reduction, alar lifting, and nasal tip surgery.
When I looked into MISKO, the fact that it’s semi-permanent bothered me, so in the end I had my nasal tip lifted with septal cartilage,,
I was only worrying until the day of surgery, and until today before removing the stitches and taping, I kept worrying that the shape would come out weird,,,,
But today, as soon as the taping was removed and I looked in the mirror, it was so..! It came out in exactly the style I wantedㅋㅋㅋ Really,,!
During the consultation with the doctor, I kept asking for it to look natural, to reduce the alae just a tiny bit, and to bring the columella down a little, and it turned out exactly like that.
It came out better than I expected, so I’m so happyㅠㅠㅠ Really,,,,,
And before doing it, I looked up a lot of reviews, but there weren’t many reviews from people who did the nasal tip and alar reduction without raising the nasal bridge!
I’m leaving this review because I want to be at least a little helpful to people like me..!
Before I had it done, my alae came down, my nasal tip was short, and my columella was tucked inward, but now I think all of that has improved. There’s still swelling, so once all the swelling goes down, I’ll leave another front-view photo review..!ㅠㅠ
And after surgery, it didn’t hurt! It was just uncomfortable to breathe through my mouth because there was cotton inside my nose! I had the cotton removed right away the day after surgery, so until getting my stitches removed today, I was just able to stay pretty comfortably.
Once the residual swelling goes down, I think the nasal tip will lower a bit, but still, it turned out naturally the way I wanted, so I’m so happy,,, I really think all the clinic-hopping paid off ㅠㅠ
Everyone, please make sure to research well, and when you consult with the doctor, clearly tell them what you want! I found review photos of the nose I wanted and showed themㅎㅎ (That review photo’s clinic was in the 6 million KRW range...)
Once the swelling goes down, I’ll come write another review~^^
