It has been 3 years since I had septal cartilage hump correction. I like the shape of my nose, but because septal cartilage was used, the nasal tip is pointed and hard, and it has downsides like not moving when I smile. At first, I didn’t look into what septal cartilage was and had the surgery casually, then I was really shocked by the hard foreign-body sensation. I wanted to remove it right away, but I was scared, so I just lived with it. In the beginning, it felt awkward and uncomfortable, so I kept touching it, bending it this way and that with my hand and moving it around, and maybe because of that, from after 2 years passed, a boundary started forming between the nasal bridge and nasal tip, and it sometimes hurt and didn’t feel smooth. Those who are planning surgery with septal cartilage should definitely take into account the foreign-body sensation and hardness, and decide carefully. After surgery, even if it feels uncomfortable, don’t touch it carelessly like I did.
