Nano Clinic.. It was a place I finally managed to get a consultation at after making an appointment with a lot of difficulty. A place wrapped in mystery .. lol, full of word of mouth.. The consultation schedule was packed, and the front desk staff kept answering consultation appointment calls, so I really felt how popular it was. There’s a before-and-after photo album at the front desk.
The director seems to have a great aesthetic sense. Even from the reviews, the side profile of the nose looked so beautiful that I really wanted a consultation, so I visited. They said they use autologous costal cartilage. Since this was a revision surgery, I was a little less resistant to autologous costal cartilage, but if it had been my first surgery, I think I would have worried about it. The consultation manager was cheerful and kind. The wait was about 20 minutes. When booking the consultation, I received a text saying to bring CT scans from another hospital if I had them, so I paid 55,000 won at another hospital and brought themㅠ But they said things like, “Do you really need that? Probably not..” so I felt like I’d wasted money lol .. If the implants have already been removed, I think you probably don’t need to bring them..
They take photos and the director uses Photoshop to shape my nose using my own picture. They said they use different materials for the bridge depending on the height: costal cartilage, artificial dermis, and autologous dermis. A lot of clinics don’t use costal cartilage on the bridge because warping can happen, so I asked the director about that. Because they know costal cartilage well, they said they can use autologous costal cartilage on the bridge in a way that prevents warping. They didn’t say how they prevent it from warping, maybe because it’s a trade secret, but they seemed confident, like, of course it won’t warp?
I wasn’t sure what kind of nose would suit my face, so I told them the direction I wanted.. but I didn’t particularly like the Photoshopped result they showed me, maybe because it looked awkward lol Rather than a detailed, professional explanation, they told me the direction I wanted, the materials they would use, showed me a few before-and-after photos (ones you can see on the website), did a quick Photoshop edit, and the consultation ended quickly.
I also heard the price explanation from the manager and that they would do everything with autologous tissue to reduce concerns about inflammation. They said the thin skin areas would be wrapped with dermis, and that the director was very skilled. They said they would adjust to the patient’s preferred direction, whether a natural line or a glamorous line.
The price was as high as I’d heard, and if I had surgery they would provide aftercare, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, PRP injections, etc. (for about 2 weeks?), and if there were signs of inflammation or contracture, stem cell injections would cost extra, though they said there were ways to manage it. There were advance discounts and post-payment discounts, but only around 5%. For me, beyond the price, my skin is so thin that my current nose bridge filler is already showing slightly bluish, and the director didn’t really say anything about that, while at other hospitals I was told that any implant would show through. So even if they wrapped the costal cartilage with dermis, or even used artificial dermis, I kept hearing that over time it would get absorbed and become noticeable.. I passed because I’ve heard that many timesㅠ I want a natural nose that won’t look obvious even 2-3 years later. That said, for people who prioritize a beautiful side profile and don’t mind if it becomes noticeable after some time, Nano seems like a good fit. If my skin were thick and strong, I think I would have done it at Nano.
