It’s been 1 year since my double eyelid revision surgery, and by forgetting about it I mean it went so well that I had no side effects at all... 큐큨ㅋㅋㅋ... At the time of the consultation, I wouldn't say they were extremely kind, but I remember thinking the doctor was meticulous and calm, and had a good eye for aesthetics. I went for medial canthoplasty revision, but he said the problem wasn’t the medial canthus... The double eyelid line was too high + the design on the left and right sides was different + the eye openings on both sides were at different heights + the difference in eyelid-opening strength between both eyes was big + I also opened my eyes with my forehead, so I had a sleepy-looking expression For my first surgery, I had double eyelid surgery and medial canthoplasty in Incheon two years before that, by the standards of the time. I got sausage-like eyes and my impression changed a lot, which was stressful, but looking back now, it was actually a complete mess... So I worried a lot until the surgery... There also weren't many revision reviews, so I was even more nervous.... During the consultation, the staff manager strongly urged me to get ptosis correction too at first ㅋㅋ and the doctor didn’t push that hard, but did recommend it, so I decided on incisional double eyelid revision + ptosis correction Now, 1 year later, I’m very satisfied with my eyes The double eyelid line was communicated well, and I really love the line, so I still applaud it now My eyes were reborn from that complete mess into a balanced shape... I wonder if the doctor double-majored in fine arts, because balancing both sides this well is amazing The best part is that I don’t think I’ll need another revision in the future
But the ptosis correction feels a bit weaker than right after surgery. Maybe because I was so afraid of overcorrection that I asked the doctor to do it as gently as possible? But it doesn’t feel like it loosened; it’s just that at the time of surgery, even though it was swollen and stiff, it opened really wide, and after a year it wasn’t like that anymore...
Because of my own habit, even if I lift them with force, my eyes still tend to half-open again, so that part is a little disappointing. If I could go back, I’d just trust the doctor and let him do it without telling him to make the ptosis correction gentle...
The surgery seems to have gone exceptionally well. Even at the follow-up visit after surgery, they kept saying it went well, and I felt that myself too, so I was really happy. The swelling mostly went down after just a few days, and even the doctor was surprised... I’m just grateful.
At the first surgery, my eyes were all swollen and bruised... I said the ptosis correction hurt, but during the surgery itself, aside from the pulling sensation, it was okay. It did hurt at the time, but I was tearing up a lot... I remember the doctor kept telling me not to cry...
After the double eyelid revision, they also said they would take care of post-op follow-up and told me to come in for scar laser treatment, but I was too busy with work to go...
Personally, I’m very grateful. If someone is considering eye surgery, I’d recommend them personally. They’re good, meticulous, and they identify the problem very accurately. But I’d recommend that only people with very clear preferences go there. Since the doctor is meticulous, it should be someone who likes that kind of approach... I’m not that kind of person, so it was a bit tiring physically, but I’m satisfied with the surgical result
