Cheekbone Surgery Reviews@cheekbone-review

Day 6 after cheekbone revision surgery

Tomorrow I’m finally going to get the stitches near my sideburns removed; I hope they’ve healed wellㅠㅠ

On the morning of day 6, when I opened my eyes, even without looking in the mirror, I could feel right away, like, something isn’t swollen. My eyes also opened very lightly

Bruising~ there’s still a lot One side has a black eye bruise mixed with purple and green, and the other eye has a little yellowish bruising left Both cheeks have bluish~ yellowish~ bruises, anyway there’s a lot

Brushing my teeth~ I’m using the gargle solution? prescribed by the hospital and a somewhat small toothbrush, brushing carefully around the gum stitches (since day 4) It’s a bit difficult to brush my tongue, so I can’t clean it properly

I also gargle throughout the day whenever I can

Swelling~ the candy-like swelling in both cheeks has gone down. From the side, until yesterday there was swollen flesh sagging down like a bulldog, but today those areas have gone down quite a lot Overall the swelling is around the temples-cheekbones-both cheeks, but it’s gone down enough that I’m not depressed about it

Medication~ From day 5, the prescribed medicine made my stomach feel bad, so I stopped taking it and bought medicine from the pharmacy instead. I don’t know if it just happened to match the timing when swelling goes down on days 5-6 or if it’s actually effective, but anyway it’s inexpensive and not hard on the body, so I’d like to recommend it.

Walking: tonight was the first time I went out after surgeryㅠㅠ It felt so good to go outsideㅠㅠ My hair was greasy, but I just went out with only a mask on. I sweated a lot, but the stitch sites beside my ears didn’t seem to get inflamed, so I wasn’t worried

Showering: on day 3 I put on waterproof tape and washed my hair and showered once, and today was my second time. I didn’t put on waterproof tape, just carefully avoided getting too much water on it and washed my hair refreshingly. Since it had been a while, a lot of hair fell outㅠㅠ Oh, and you’re originally not supposed to blow your nose, but I had so much runny nose that I exhaled a little strongly to clear inside my nose, and a yellow transparent lump came out from one side....... I don’t know what this is...., But after that lump came out, that side felt really clear without the blocked-up feeling The yellow lump came out from the side where I had a nosebleed on day 1, and now that side actually has less swelling... lol Anyway, they say you absolutely must not blow your nose

Sensation: one side has returned pretty decently, but the right side still feels numb and tingling like it’s anesthetized. The right side also didn’t bleed much on days 1-2, has more swelling.... and the sensation is numb and tingling... The right side is the problem~!

Eating: today I tried chewing shrimp and spat it back out, and I keep blending food into a porridge-like consistency to eat-! If I make the porridge thick, I do feel a bit less hungry, but it still empties out too quickly, so I eat 4 meals a day...

My mouth opens about one and a half fingers, and I think mine opens pretty well~ I also gently brush all the way to the molars

As for the compression band, I didn’t even leave the hospital wearing one from the first day, and there was no manual telling me to use one, so sometimes I used one I had at home for about 2 hours a day in divided sessions. Thinking back, on the day of surgery I rested in the recovery room and left without being hospitalized, and there was no blood drain tube?! maybe because I only did the cheekbones or whatever, anyway there wasn’t one

At first, because I was so swollen, I started writing reviews because I wanted to check whether it was okay to be this swollen. But after getting through the mental low point by day 5, I wanted to say, “Anyway, it does get better~,” so I’m writing a review today. After surgery, I couldn’t go out for several days and wondered how I’d get through 24 hours, but for about 3 days I think I just took medicine, ate, and slept I stacked two pillows and supported myself from the waist up, and slept well, They say you shouldn’t sleep too much and should sit up, but if I stayed like that, it was hard to spend the day with a swollen face, so I just slept comfortably with the help of the medicine- It probably did affect the swelling- But honestly, I think I focused more on managing my mental state than the swelling I spent all that money and time to make my face better, so I can’t end up depressed- Just keep looking at photos of female celebrities who became prettier with facial contouring surgery... lololol

Anyway, I’ll get my stitches removed tomorrow, and if there’s more progress afterward, I’ll write again!
