My jaw was not balanced, so my upper and lower teeth did not meet in a straight line. It made clicking sounds, I often had headaches, and I also had headaches with jaw pain, tightness in the back of my neck, and stiff shoulders. So when I was very young, I wondered if orthodontic treatment could solve it and went to a dental clinic, but they said my teeth did not need orthodontics and that it was a jaw problem.. They said it might improve as I grew, but it did not improve at all. There is only so much headache medicine one can take, and I started wondering what kind of medicine I would have to take later if I developed this much tolerance. So I looked into two-jaw surgery, and because I wanted to resolve it quickly, I searched online and chose one place to visit. They said that even with two-jaw surgery, they could not touch the connected jaw area under the ear, and that even touching around there could make the headaches worse. They also said my jaw itself was small, so they would hit the nerve line. Because of the balance issue, maybe my chin had developed that way; it protruded a little and was on the long side. They said the only thing I could do was chin-tip surgery, a V-line procedure. So they said that, if I were to have surgery, they would do a ㅅ-shaped osteotomy while avoiding the nerve line as much as possible, and if they only reduced the chin tip it might become blunt, so they would also remove the secondary angle? in that kind of way, cutting in a curve starting from the osteotomy area! That is what they said. Then I made a reservation three days later and ended up having the surgery. Since I had been in pain from around age 10? I wanted to solve it somehow. And honestly, when closing my mouth, I had been living while paying a lot of attention and applying force to close it, so I had thought that pain might also be coming from tension going into the jaw near my ears. I think that is partly why I decided so hastily.. I am not sure whether they said the stitches do not need to be removed or what. I was so out of it. It is not tomorrow anymore, it is today now. I am going back today to get another antibiotic injection and so on. Anyway, I did it, but I have seen a lot of side-effect cases, and the swelling is seriously like Bread Man + Hoppang Man, about twice my original face size, so I am very worried.. I am not someone who swells except when drinking alcohol.. I can feel that my chin has gone inward well, but I feel like I have become some kind of monster, so I am really worried. It feels like the swelling will not go down.. The swelling I have felt in my life was never this hard, I think.. I am worried because the hospital is not that famous and there is not much information about it.. They were really kind and good, but people always change when a problem happens, right..? If I had known about this community before surgery and had written this community as my visit route, I think I would have felt a bit more at ease. I know it is very much like me to decide on surgery hastily, rush into the surgery, and then regret it, but sigh, it would have been so nice if I had known this place before surgery.. They did say the surgery went well, but they also said I was really very swollen, sob. After reading posts here, I realized that saying the surgery went well is something everyone says, so I have ended up unable to believe it.,..,,,, It will turn out well, right? My mom is also so worried and keeps asking, and I feel so sorry and apologetic..
