I had revision surgery a month ago, removing 1.5 mm of silicone and doing cartilage repositioning for the nasal tip and nasal bridge. The reason for surgery was that my nasal bridge was crooked, and the columella at the nasal tip started low, making my nose look long. After about 7 years, the silicone seemed to make the nasal tip descend a little due to gravity. My nose was originally high, and even before surgery, people of the opposite sex said the tip shape was good enough that it wouldn’t look that pretty without having had something done (but it didn’t look obvious)
Progress after one month With only ear cartilage + cartilage repositioning, the nasal bridge height is similar to the previous height, and the crooked-looking appearance completely disappeared after silicone removal. Well, they also softened the crooked-looking part with osteotomy. As for the nasal tip, raising the columella definitely made the nose shorter. The shape of my previous nose was pretty too, so they kept it the same. Personally, I’ve lain on the operating table about 10 times, and I’m most satisfied with this nose revision surgery.
Usually they estimate 1 to 1.5 hours for the nasal bridge and tip, but even taking revision surgery into account, mine took 3.5 to 4 hours. When I asked the doctor why it took so long, they said using only cartilage takes much more time than just using silicone.. I was really grateful
