Since it was my first nose surgery, I went in thinking lightly of no implant and just septal cartilage or ear cartilage, but they recommended silicone + donated costal cartilage. The director seemed to have a very specific shape they wanted. But that seemed to match what I was going for, so I proceeded. I don’t recommend it for people who want to keep their first surgery light.
The price range is much higher. Even after going to many consultations, first surgeries were around 4.5 million won, but here they started at 6.5 million. But doing it closed, without cutting the columella, is a technique, so I acknowledge that it can be more expensive. Rather than getting it done cheaply at a factory-style clinic and then needing revision surgery, it feels like doing it properly once.
The consultant was kind, and the operating room and treatment room staff were all fine. I’m also satisfied with the aftercare. It’s still early for my nose, so it’s hard and awkward, but people around me have told me many times that the shape came out well. If you look at the director’s blog, you’ll know, but there is a typical shape, and I liked that. If it matches your taste, I recommend doing it. The director has a lot of pride, and since it’s a hospital that also specializes in reconstruction, there’s no way it will be botched. I’ll watch it longer and add to the review.
