4 Months After Removal

I had silicone, ear cartilage at the nasal tip, and a strut, and lived fine with them for 8 years, but then suddenly I felt tenderness, so I went around consulting at different places and had everything removed at the end of last year. Since it was 8 years ago and the original surgery was done closed, they recommended removal by a closed approach too. I strongly wanted an open approach, though.. After the major swelling went down, I went back to work from about 10 days later. My nostrils, which were uneven at the time of removal, have improved a lot now. My bridge was originally low and I had a bulbous nose, so I can’t help that my nose looks less attractive now, but I’m living without pain. Still, it’s hard to expect the nose to be soft like my natural nose And when you get removal, please definitely do it open. Mine still feels hard, as if there is a strut in the columella. Even though ear cartilage was used, my surgical nose wasn’t hard like a stick, and I could slightly make a piggy nose, and it’s still like that now. Because of this, I emailed the clinic, and they said all the ear cartilage from the nasal tip was removed, and because the doctor also felt the columella was hard and wondered if something might have been left, he checked several times and there wasn’t anything, but because of the limitations of the closed approach, he couldn’t guarantee it 100%... Other than that, I’m just living without worrying about my nose. But if the strut is still there, would I need revision surgery to remove it, or since it’s autologous cartilage, can I just leave it? If it doesn’t interfere much with my life, I’m planning to just live with it...
