Nose Surgery Reviews@rhino-review

Banobagi review from this community

I had rhinoplasty 4 months after septoplasty at a university hospital caused the bridge of my nose to collapse. They didn’t even take a 3D CT scan at all, and without any nasal endoscopy or anything, they judged the condition of my nose only by looking at it from the outside and proceeded with surgery. They raised the bridge with silicone, used ear cartilage for the tip, and did lateral osteotomy and nostril lowering.

After surgery, my nostrils became asymmetric, so I waited about 10 months, but the asymmetry didn’t improve, so I had revision surgery. The revision surgery didn’t touch the bridge at all and only redid the tip... It has now been a year since the revision, and the nostril asymmetry is still there... (To be honest, it feels like the revision surgery didn’t improve anything at all.)

It’s been about 2 years since the silicone was inserted, and since there has been no inflammatory reaction at all, I think the surgery itself was performed cleanly. But the nostril asymmetry after the first surgery, and the fact that the asymmetry still wasn’t corrected even after revision surgery, is such a huge disappointment. As for other people, I don’t know whether they had CT scans when they consulted here... but for me, there was no CT scan at all... I think this outcome may have happened because they proceeded with surgery without any inside-nose examination such as a CT scan, and without enough information about the inside of the nose...
