I had revision surgery after 7 years? since my first surgery. The reason was that my skin is thin, so the nasal tip was showing through in a round shape. My columella was also shorter than other people’s.
After deciding on revision surgery, I told the doctor, please just give me a natural-looking nose. But since it’s a woman’s nose, shouldn’t there still be some aesthetic aspect too... lol After the revision surgery, on the day the splint came off, my nose was really round, so I was a bit flustered, but first I had to let the swelling go down. But my nose was crooked.. I thought, this must be swelling too... Because I never imagined even 1% that my nose would be crooked.
First of all, since my nose was small, after lowering/bringing out the columella, my nose got bigger. It may also stand out because my nose became higher and bigger, and the hospital says it’s because I have asymmetry.
After revision surgery When looking from the front, the nasal tip is completely slanted diagonally toward the right. So stressful. I don’t even want to meet people. I had a consultation after taking a CT scan, and we confirmed that the columella was crooked and the implant had rotated to the right.
At the hospital where I booked my 3rd revision surgery, they said it is a difficult surgery, but if they tie and align it well to the center, it can improve. I made the reservation hoping that could happen, but
In my own thoughts, my face is not symmetrical, so there had already been some crookedness in my nose, and maybe it became more noticeable after raising the nose.
At my first surgery, revision surgery, and even the last place I booked, none of them mentioned osteotomy.
Right now I’m thinking about two options.. Removing the silicone from the nasal bridge and doing only the nasal tip with ear cartilage, or removing the entire nasal bridge and nasal tip materials.
It would be so nice if it were high, pretty, and straight, but if it won’t work no matter what, I think removing everything may be better.
Since my skin is thin and the nasal tip showed through severely, I wonder if there’s no guarantee it won’t happen again a few years later... It’s so difficult.
Should I trust the doctor at the hospital one more time at the end..?
