I had my first surgery in February 2021 using autologous costal cartilage, and as a result, my nasal tip drooped, so I'm looking into revision surgery.
Because I didn't have enough septal cartilage, I was told that if I wanted to raise the nasal tip, I needed to use sturdy autologous costal cartilage so the nasal tip wouldn't droop and I wouldn't need revision surgery, so I decided to do it. On the day of surgery, they said I had a retruded chin and that to match the line with my nose, it seemed like I would need an implant, so I also had the implant done that day... But in the end, I didn't like that either The line was not pretty at all, and they seemed to have little procedural experience, so it felt like they were testing it out on my face.
As the swelling started to go down after surgery, my nasal tip kept sinking, and over 3 years it continued to sink, to the point that a deeply sunken line formed in the middle of my nose, creating a severe step-off between the nasal tip and the silicone. I had consultations several times, but they only kept saying that I needed a crown procedure to lower the height of the silicone and add ear cartilage, and they didn't give me an accurate diagnosis, so I lost trust. Over 3 years, many of the nurses and medical staff had changed, and seeing an inexperienced male nurse awkwardly giving an injection made me decide that I should not have revision surgery here... It feels like they have lost their original mindset.
