Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo

Day 3 after full nose implant removal

The first photo shows the foreign materials that were removed, but only part of them is shown in the photo. The silicone and other things are in another photo, but I didn’t take a picture of it ㅋㅋㅋ

I had the silicone and columellar strut removed, and the nasal tip cartilage was repositioned. There were various other issues too, like cartilage protruding inside the nose and sagging of the nasal ceiling, etc., and they said they fixed? all of them.   ------------

About 10 years ago, I had silicone placed on the nasal bridge, and the nasal tip was lifted by placing a columellar strut using septal cartilage.

Even during my first surgery, I had no desire at all for a higher nasal bridge. I only wanted to correct my drooping nasal tip and columella so I could get rid of the arrow-shaped nose, but it was not corrected at all.

I just gave up and lived with it... Then after much thought, I decided to have everything removed, and since I was opening my nose one more time anyway, I wanted to lift only the nasal tip and columella, which had stressed me out my whole life.

I went to a total of 6 consultations, and because of the Lunar New Year holiday, this clinic was the last one on my consultation list.

My previous consultation reviews were gloomy. They said that since my natural nose was low, if I removed the silicone, my nasal bridge would become low, and if I lifted the nasal tip from there, the bridge would be low while only the tip would be raised, making the nasal line look strange. Some places recommended a nasal bridge implant for the sake of the shape. They said if I didn’t want that, I would have to accept that the shape might look odd..ㅠㅠ

And to lift and fix the nasal tip, every single place recommended a columellar strut, but since I was removing even the silicone because I didn’t like it, I didn’t want to put in another thing called a strut.

Maybe because it was my very last consultation, what I liked most was that, compared with other clinics, there was definitely no time pressure during the consultation. Some doctors rushed the consultation so much that I even felt embarrassed asking anything..

But here, they answered every single question I had prepared, and they also examined the inside of my nose thoroughly. The consultant was comfortable, like talking with a friend, and was very kind.

And the director is famous for nose removal, but I also had double eyelid surgery together, and the line is pretty ㅋㅋ

Fortunately, I was able to schedule the surgery quickly, so I booked it right on the day of the consultation.

On the surgery day, I changed clothes, washed my face, had a consultation with the director, and after entering the operating room, the consultant put an IV in my arm. I’m really scared of injections, but she did it well without making it hurt ㅋㅋ About 5 minutes later, the director came and said they would put me to sleep, and when I opened my eyes, the surgery was over. I was so groggy...

They didn’t put on a splint or place cotton inside my nose, and they only put gauze under my nose, so I had no discomfort breathing at all.

When I came home and removed the gauze under my nose, I could see that my nasal tip had lifted up a lot, and I was so happy ㅠㅠ I wondered if I had finally escaped the arrow-shaped nose..ㅠㅠ The columella area is still very swollen, but they said once the swelling goes down, the columella will come up too.

Today is day 3 after surgery, and yesterday I went to the clinic. The consultant gave me an antibiotic IV, the director disinfected the area, and they also drained blood from between my eyebrows.

Maybe the swelling is gradually moving downward; today, from under my eyes to my upper lip is swollen.

I usually don’t write reviews like this, but the director and consultant were so kind, their skills were so good, and although they’re already popular, I’m writing this review because I hope they become even more successful.

And I hope this can be even a little helpful to many people who are going through emotional stress.
