<Natural 1><Natural 2><Surgery 1><Surgery 2><Removal 1><Removal 2>Unlike when I was worrying about it for such a long time, after I had it removed, I really stopped coming into this community! I used to look at posts over and over every night until dawn. For about 3 days after the removal, I kept looking up reviews because I wondered if my nose would change again, but now I don’t even do that. Still, I’m posting this review so it can be even a little helpful for those considering removal.
First, if you look at my previous post, it should explain in detail what kind of nose surgery I had. In particular, in my case, costal cartilage particles were used for the nasal bridge, and a very small amount of donated costal cartilage and septal cartilage was used for the nasal tip. I also had nasal bridge osteotomy and hump removal.
I didn’t even know I had rhinitis, but since it could be done cheaply through insurance, I also had surgery for a deviated septum and spreader grafting. But although I could actually breathe more overall, the side where the support was placed kept getting blocked, so it was very uncomfortable.
Also, maybe because the nasal tip was raised a lot, it felt tight, and after a year, the tip started to show through.
The discomfort was the biggest reason I had it removed. I hated how hard my nose was,, it didn’t feel like touching my own nose, it felt like touching a stone,,
* After removal
First of all, there was no pain during the surgery process, and after surgery I didn’t have a splint or cotton packing, so it was really comfortable. When I had my rhinoplasty, I couldn’t breathe, so that one week felt like it would never pass, but this time I could keep breathing through my nose, which was nice. It was a little blocked, but the director said it was actually better to blow my nose and get the mucus out, so I lived comfortably as long as I could breathe well. Until day 3, it was swollen, but it was less swollen than after rhinoplasty. From day 4, the swelling went down. I think the bruising lasted about a week. But it wasn’t very noticeable.
The day after surgery, they disinfected it for me, and 5 days later I went to have the stitches removed. So far, I haven’t had any discomfort in daily life. I like that my nose feels so light. After taking it out, I was so, so happy. I was even happier because I was much more satisfied with the shape of my nose than I expected. I had even imagined the worst..!
Now I understand what people mean when they say the nose shape is between the surgical nose and the natural nose. For reference, my original nose was long and droopy, so because I didn’t want it to droop again, I asked them to reposition the cartilage and tie the nose. Maybe because of that, the overall line of my nose is actually similar to my surgical nose, but lower and rounder from there. I like my current nose the most!
Please just look at the photos for reference. Seeing it overall is different again.
From day 3, I was already going around outside a lot! I met my friends after a week and told them, but they said they couldn’t really tell. They asked if I really had it removed.. hahaha Before removing it, I was scared my impression would change again, but my face didn’t change much, so I was very satisfied. My boyfriend also says he can’t really tell. My family says it definitely became rounder and lower, but they say my current nose is the prettiest.
I took a leave of absence and spent several months struggling and saving up my part-time job money, so it hurt to spend such a large amount in one day,, ㅜㅠㅠ while other friends were going to Europe,, lol Still, I’m so glad I had it removed. I like it enough that it was worth that money. Strangely, the protruding area on one side from the support went back in, so I can breathe well again, and the nostril asymmetry has almost evened out..! I still haven’t really touched my nose much, so I don’t know, but when I touched it lightly, it was soft.
Thanks to this experience, I still got to feel the happiness of living with a nose prettier than my natural nose and being satisfied with myself!
While reading many removal reviews, I also saw people who regretted removing theirs, so I can’t say I recommend removal. But I do want to tell you not to worry too much. Before removal, I cried until dawn, my friends and family couldn’t understand me, and I blamed myself so much while feeling that the money and time were wasted. Even if you blame yourself and regret it, the result won’t change..!
For those scheduled for removal, after you make the decision, think that it must be the right choice and don’t worry too much! I also had a huge amount of manipulation done, but I’m living much more comfortably than when I had my surgical nose.! Rather, when I came to this community and read various posts, I felt even more troubled,, and depressed. Decide carefully, but please don’t worry too much.
