I have a history of double jaw surgery, and this was my first nose surgery. I went in for a consultation to have both functional and cosmetic nose surgery together. Originally my appointment was at 12:00, but the clinic asked to change it to 12:45, so I agreed. That day, First Button was the first consultation, and the second one was at 2:30. I got there on time, but while filling out the chart they said I had to wait a bit, so I agreed and started talking. They said the consultation would take 1 to 1.5 hours, but since I hadn’t eaten lunch that day, I said I’d probably need to leave around 1:40 if I only had about an hour. They seemed to worry that the consultation time would be too short.. I said I would give up lunch and stay for the consultation, but in the end I didn’t leave until around 3:10... The waiting time alone felt like almost an hour. After filling out the chart, waiting, and then waiting again after the consultation with the manager, I think I waited by myself for about 40 minutes? I got tired of waiting and was running out of time, so I said I had to go. They said the director could consult with me in 5 minutes, so I agreed and waited, but then I waited another 15 minutes and finally got the consultation at 3:00. The person before me had already finished their consultation and left, so I don’t know why mine took so long. When I was pressed for time and trying to hurry, even the person at the desk later spoke to me with a slightly irritated tone, saying only to wait... I was thinking maybe I just had bad luck. After all that waiting, the director I met was kind. For me, who needs nasal surgery after double jaw surgery, it was reassuring that they said, for the first time, that surgery could be done with the septum and ear cartilage only. They explained well why that was possible. I also liked that they gave me confidence by saying they had a lot of experience doing nose surgery for patients who had double jaw surgery, thanks to the know-how they gained at a large hospital (ㅇㅇㄷ). However, because of the long waiting time, I couldn’t have enough time for the consultation, which was really disappointing. So I couldn’t do the manager consultation after the director’s consultation, and they said they would call after Christmas to consult by phone, but there still hasn’t been any contact... Well... I know it’s hard to deal with each patient one by one, but the reviews were so good that I went in with high expectations, and I ended up thinking that I was the only one who had to wait so long, be rushed by time, and even call another hospital to apologize for being late.. And while I was waiting, I heard a scream? from beyond the consultation room, maybe from someone coming for dressing or aftercare, so I was a little surprised. It looked like they were in pain... The waiting-time issue may have just been an unlucky timing mismatch between me and the clinic. Emotionally, it wasn’t great, but I thought the director’s skill was still trustworthy even with the short consultation time. They said I could also ask further questions through KakaoTalk with the manager, so I’m planning to inquire if I think of anything else. The clinic was newly opened, clean, and nice. If you’re considering functional nose surgery, I recommend a consultation. (I can’t remember the estimate because I was rushed for time ㅠㅠ I think I’ll need to ask later)
+ I’m not sure if they saw the community consultation review and called, but they contacted me today for a phone consultation, and I was grateful that they apologized again for the long wait and the late guidance :) They could have just let it go, but it shows they were paying attention. I had a kind consultation with the manager, and the cost is more than I expected, but there’s also a refund part, so I’m still debating ^^...
