Eye Surgery Considerations@eye-think

Nose Lab community review

I have a history of double jaw surgery, and this was my first nose surgery. I went in for a consultation to have both functional and cosmetic nose surgery together. Because having double jaw surgery weakens the septum, they recommended either donor rib cartilage or autologous costal cartilage to support the tip of the nose. Nose Lab Clinic has the advantage of performing the surgery through a closed approach with an incision inside the nose. If you’re worried about scarring on the columella from nose surgery, I think it would be good to get a consultation there. I had a CT scan done and photos taken from different angles, and the consultation went in this order: manager - doctor - manager. The manager was kind, and after looking at my nose said something like, “I think you’ll probably need something like this~,” and suggested getting a more detailed diagnosis from the doctor before talking more. The clinic was warm despite the cold weather, and they served warm tea, which I liked. The doctor also looked at my photos from different angles and clearly pointed out what should and shouldn’t be done, so it was a good consultation. However, I think the doctor has a particular style of nose he prefers. A straight? or slightly straight-bridge nose with a high tip.. it didn’t seem like a shape that would suit me, so that was a bit disappointing. And even though this is my first surgery, even if insurance can be claimed, the price was quite high if I used autologous costal cartilage... Even if only half of it is my burden, for a first surgery it feels like a big operation, so I’m still considering it. According to the website, an anesthesiology specialist is on site, CT costs 30,000 won, and if you want it on a CD, there is an extra 20,000 won charge.
