Before <before surgery> after <after surgery> It has already been 9 months since those hellish days passed. The year changed too, and my appearance really changed a lot haha It feels strange because I think 1 year will come quickly too. Last year, the swelling was still going down, and after double-jaw surgery, time was passing so slowlyㅜㅓ My face length definitely got shorter, but even at a glance, the area around my mouth looked awkward. But now my chin length has shortened and my mouth shape has changed a lot, so it looks much more natural and a little cuter!! lololol
Now I think part of it is that I've gotten used to a certain level of discomfort, and there isn't anything I feel is a problem in daily life. I'm still wearing braces, so I do think I want to get them off quickly, but when I think about how my gums got rubbed, hurt, and felt uncomfortable in the early days of braces, I feel like I'm living really comfortably now lolololololol My mouth opens well too, so I have no problem chewing things like meat or my favorite gopchang. Because I had cheekbone surgery together with the double-jaw surgery, I really couldn't chew after surgeryㅠ Before surgery, I had a severe protruding lower jaw, and my bite didn't align either, so I had never had self-esteem while livingㅠ But now I can chew well, which is so nice, and I'm also satisfied cosmetically!! I desperately wanted both functional double-jaw surgery and cosmetic double-jaw surgery, so I think I got both things I wanted lol I had vaguely thought for a long time that I wanted double-jaw surgery and wanted to get rid of my protruding lower jaw, then I went for the surgery, but I really didn't know it would be this painful and difficult.. I think this is pain only people who have done it can knowㅠ If I had known it was this hard of a surgery, I think I would have hesitated a lot, but I still think enduring the pain after surgery is better than the pain of living with a protruding lower jaw. For those considering double-jaw surgery, if you truly feel desperate, I think trying it once could be good. It hasn't been 1 year yet, so I'm scared because I don't know what side effects? might come after 1 year or 2 years, but I think the answer is to enjoy the present and manage things well.. (I feel like I could live if I just got these braces off..) Um.. and I haven't really thought that I definitely need to remove the pins, but is there anyone who has had pin removal??
