I had double eyelid surgery over 10 years ago, and this was a revision surgery. Before consulting at the hospital, this was the place I had the highest expectations for. The consultation time was short compared with the consultation fee, and they didn't really do things like measuring my eye-opening strength by placing tools on my eyes. But the doctor was cheerful and kind. Both buried and incisional methods were possible, but for an incision he said it would create a double eyelid that looked too strong, so he recommended buried sutures over incision. He said that would suit my face better. Since two other hospitals had recommended ptosis correction, I asked about that, and he said it wasn't necessary yet. Instead, although my brow-to-eye spacing is a bit wide, he recommended inner canthoplasty. But when I worried whether inner canthoplasty would be okay, he reassured me that it could be done separately anyway, so it was fine either way, and if I was worried, it would be better to only do the buried-suture method this time. After the doctor consultation, I met with the manager, who was also kind. She told me to think it through enough before deciding, and said it was important to consider side effects and drawbacks after surgery thoroughly. She did check at first whether I felt burdened by incision versus buried sutures, but later when I seemed to prefer buried sutures, she didn't push me. She also explained canthoplasty while showing me photos of cases. It was a kind hospital.
