The stereotypical Asian eyes that are portrayed in an extreme way in the media..... that was me, with thick eyelids and monolid eyes.. Since I had no double eyelids and my eyes were extremely small, I opened everything up and even got double eyelids... They said my upper eyelids were thicker than other people’s, so I got a bit anxious and asked if that meant it would be harder.. But the director said it wasn’t difficult, and kind of promoted his own skills while easing the mood, which was nice. Since the surgery opened up all parts of my eyes, my eyes really got bigger.. It still looks a bit obvious that I had surgery, but my eyes became so much bigger that I’m satisfied.
