I had everything removed: septal cartilage, ear cartilage, and silicone. There is nothing left in my nose, and I’m waiting for the swelling to go down. It’s about 2 weeks since removal.
The reason I had it removed was that I didn’t like my operated nose and wanted to go back to my original nose.

I went to many consultations, made my decision, and had the surgery. Originally, after reading reviews, I was planning to have it done at another place, but the doctor changed what they said about whether the nose would turn up, and they didn’t give me proper confidence about the surgery. They also said asymmetry and a pinched nose could not be improved, so I thought it wasn’t a good fit for me and made my decision.
As for the surgical result, the pinched nose improved and the asymmetry was corrected. They removed the upturned-looking feeling I was most worried about and made it close to 90% of my original nose. I felt foolish for all the years I had been stressed until now ㅠㅠ I should have studied during that time.. And.. since it hasn’t even been a month yet, I don’t know what will happen to the nose, but the swelling has gone down a lot. The nose is still hard. I don’t know if it’s scar tissue at the nasal tip, but if my original nose was 0 and my operated nose was 10, about 6? level of hardness remains. Since it had been supported with septal cartilage and was extremely hard, after removing that, it also feels like the wounds? inside have hardened. Still, the columella is much softer when moved left and right, and if I lift only the nasal tip upward, it goes up very slightly.
There is no contraction phase yet. Visibly, it is not turning up, so there isn’t any, and it doesn’t hurt either. Actually, the first day when my nose was packed with cotton was the most painful, and on the day the cotton was removed? it stung slightly, but now there is no pain at all.
Another hospital’s doctor told me they couldn’t guarantee it wouldn’t turn up if the septal support was removed, but here, after looking at my original nose, they said it wouldn’t turn up, so I trusted them and had the surgery. I had been really struggling with a lot of mental stress because of my nose, but after removing it, I feel relievedㅠㅠ
I recommend going to lots of consultations at multiple places. Especially if there is a place you like, go for at least two more consultations there. I recommend it because when you have the first, second, and third consultations, even the doctor’s words differ slightly each time.
