I’m exactly on day 4 today Since it was a tertiary revision surgery, I wanted a natural result. Before this, I had surgery with donated rib cartilage, ear cartilage, and silicone, but my nose became upturned and deviated to one side, and my nostrils were uneven too (a 110V nose). During that period, I had to lose myself, and every day when I even experienced social phobia and paranoia was humiliating. I wanted to do it again, but because I had already been hurt, my head was full of thoughts that it would only get worse, so I couldn’t even try and just forced myself through each day.
To get to the point, something happened that made me make up my mind with a lot of courage, and in the end, after a consultation, I had surgery on 1/16.
I said I wanted it to be as natural as possible, but I also told them I hoped it would still look harmonious. I had implant-free surgery, and today was the day to remove the splint and the stitches around the columella.
But when they took it off, there was a Hallabong orange sitting where my nose was!! Dun dun~~ During surgery, I bled a lot from the nose, so they connected a tube to one nostril. I don’t know if it’s because of that, but that nostril looks bigger too... The doctor, the staff, and my family all say it’s because of swelling, but I’m already starting to worry.
Actually, I had mentioned something like wanting them to use the septal cartilage and insert the shallowest silicone implant, but it seems the doctor probably chose the safest method. So today I told them I was worried that since my nose is an ambiguous nose, neither that high nor that low, if they didn’t put silicone in, it might become wide and blunt. They told me not to worry, that it’s just very swollen right now, and that my nasal bridge is fine, so they only used cartilage.
The director spoke in a way that made me trust them and reassured me, so I do trust them, but
what I’m curious about is whether one nostril that looks a bit wider because of the area where the tube was inserted will be okay later?
And whether my current Hallabong-like nose won’t become a spread-out nose and will be okay once the swelling goes down.... I’m skipping photos because I look too rough
