I wasn’t originally interested in rhinoplasty, but my rhinitis was very severe, so when I decided to have surgery, I just had cosmetic surgery done together with it. I’m on day 11 now, and there was some swelling from days 1 to 3, but after that the swelling went down well.
Because I had rhinitis surgery together, they said they would place cotton and silicone inside my nose, so for a week I lived unable to breathe properly and unable to taste food. That was the hardest part. I couldn’t even sleep lying down... I think I slept about 2 hours a day.
Now the major swelling seems to have almost all gone down, but my nose still hurts a little when I touch it, and only on the right side of my nose something like scar tissue is protruding in a rounded way, so I think I’ll have to wait and see whether it disappears as the swelling goes down.
In terms of appearance, it doesn’t look like someone who hasn’t even reached 2 weeks; it just looks like my own nose. Everyone around me also complimented me, saying it looks very natural. When designing the surgery, I asked for it to look natural regardless of height. Now, deep down, I do feel a bit greedy and wonder if I should have made it just a little higher, but looking only at my current nose shape, I’m satisfied.
