The upper part of my nose is my own bone, so there’s no swelling there, but there is swelling from the lower part down, so the line may look slightly bumpy.
1st surgery: No implant, used septal cartilage, nostril wing lifting (no effect) 2nd surgery: No implant, left the septal cartilage as it was, columella/short-nose extension + cartilage repositioning + correction of deviation, straight-to-slightly-curved line
(At the place where I had my 2nd surgery, they said that if silicone were used, it could make the deviation look worse, and since the height itself wasn’t bad, I proceeded without an implant.)
My original nose wasn’t bad, partly because I had filler. I only had surgery because I wanted to improve the bluntness of the nasal tip and lengthen the nasal tip, and I proceeded without an implant. There’s no end to greed, and if I could turn back time, I would not have surgery.
A certain ENT specialist clinic in Gangnam, which is also quite popular now on Babitalk and Gangnam Unni... Everyone, please never have surgery at an ENT clinic. Really, aside from safety, they have no aesthetic sense. Truly... As you can tell from the photos, they made my nose deviated and short, so I was under an unbelievable amount of stress. That was what made me join this community. As I studied rhinoplasty, I realized this really was not something a person should go through. So I also wrote a very detailed summary post (please refer to my previous post). I cannot mention the hospital name. I have already received a refund, and I am in a state where I promised not to mention it, so I will not answer questions about the hospital. Just don’t go to hospitals run by ENT specialists.
I had so many worries before having revision surgery. Never go back to the hospital where you had it done just because of the cost...
What I felt after the second surgery was simply that from the moment they removed the splint and took out the cotton, the shape itself was different. When I think, “What if I had entrusted it to the same doctor?” it’s so horrifying. For those who remove the splint and think, “Huh? The shape is a bit strange, it looks too upturned”... It does come down, but you can think of the appearance right after splint removal as being about 80% the same in the end.
I didn’t visit that many places for consultations for this revision surgery either. I think I only looked at exactly these things.
1. Know the specific shape I want 2. Avoid places with many doctors at the hospital (it gets too confusing while searching reviews) 3. Don’t rule a place out unconditionally just because people say there are many brokers 4. Judge only by the results 5. The nose shapes of patients who went through this doctor should be fairly consistent (If some people turn out well and some look strange... just remove places like that from your list) 6. During consultation, clearly talk about the problems and emphasize what needs improvement
I made a list of places I liked over a fairly long period, and every day I went in and looked at new reviews. If a place made me go “huh?” I deleted it right away. After doing this nonsense for 6 months, I eventually narrowed it down to about 3 hospitals, visited only two of them, and had surgery at the place I liked the most. I didn’t shop around that much, and I don’t really recommend going to too many consultations. It only makes things confusing.
As for the result, I’m only on day 10, but already I like it so, so, so, so, so much. It feels like old grime is being washed away... The asymmetry has improved a lot, and the upturned-nose feeling is gone too, so honestly I feel like I want to confess my love to the doctor...
For those having their first surgery, please make sure to keep in mind the things I said while consulting around, and if your nose is reasonably not bad, I am absolutely against having surgery. It was so mentally difficult. Those preparing for revision surgery will know what I mean... ㅠ
I sincerely hope those about to have revision surgery succeed. I’ll upload several photos at the one-month swelling stage.

Also, the place where I had surgery this time was somewhere people often said had many brokers, advertised too much, and that the manager only cared about money. But for me, none of that mattered. As long as they restored it and at least made the shape properly, I didn’t care how much it cost or whether there were brokers or not, so I just trusted them and left it to them. I hope you don’t get too hung up on those kinds of posts. Babitalk and things like that are important too, but make sure to go to the homepage and review the before-and-after photos and review photos taken with a DSLR before judging. Just judge by the shape and skill.
