First, I’m letting you know these are photos from two months after surgery.
I didn’t have major dissatisfaction with the height, and silicone really scared me, so I proceeded without an implant. (But now I’m thinking about revision surgery to add height to the nasal bridge..)
Originally, my nose had a very thick nasal bridge, the alar area was very fleshy and thick, and even though I hadn’t had surgery, it looked pinched and upturned, so it was a total mess of a nose + a slight hump. The director clearly told me before surgery that it was a difficult nose to operate on, and that if I did it without an implant, it wouldn’t change dramatically, so I shouldn’t have high expectations.
So I had osteotomy + short nose correction + pinched nose correction + columelloplasty + deviated nose correction + bulbous nose correction (but they said because the alar tissue is thick, alar reduction wouldn’t be useful either), and it was done with septal cartilage + ear cartilage.
A friend who had a consultation with me was told their septal cartilage seemed insufficient and was recommended donated costal cartilage, but maybe because my nose was big, fortunately I was able to use septal cartilage..
At first, I liked it because it looked very natural and seemed cleanly done without uneven nostrils or deviation, but gradually my nasal bridge started looking very low to me, so I’m thinking about adding siliconeㅠ Aside from the fact that I’m just getting greedy, I think the surgery was done very well functionally.
