Before<before>Before<with makeup before>Before<Day 1>I got double eyelid surgery to celebrate succeeding on my retake and getting into college! In the end, I had buried-suture double eyelid surgery in a semi-out line and an upper epicanthoplasty to address the Mongolian fold.
Because of the Mongolian fold, the outline did not form well, so first I had canthoplasty to address the Mongolian fold. The distance between my eyes was not that wide, so the director recommended an upper epicanthoplasty that opens upward rather than an inner epicanthoplasty. Honestly, I went in not knowing much about double eyelid surgery and just wanted bigger eyes, so I insisted I wanted an outline, but the director stopped me, saying the distance between my eyes and eyebrows was not that large and that doing too much would look overwhelming. I also asked about lateral canthoplasty, but he stopped me, saying I did not really need it. Thinking about it now, I am really glad he stopped me. Now that I see my double eyelid surgery result, my original eyes were monolids that were long horizontally, so my eyes got much bigger even without lateral canthoplasty! I am completely satisfied. It was the first day and I was on my period, but the swelling was on the low side and the surgery ended quickly.
The nurses and the director were all extremely kind. I was in so much pain from menstrual cramps that I was struggling, but before surgery the nurses brought an electric blanket, let me get a painkiller injection in the recovery room, and let me rest while waiting. They also kept checking my condition after the surgery.
My stomach hurt so badly that I thought I might not be able to have surgery, but after the painkiller injection I had the surgery in a completely fine state.
I hope the swelling goes down well.. hehe
