Before<Before removal 1 It came out looking like a hump nose, but the photo came out wrong. You can just see it as straight + drooping nose. I uploaded it so you can see the height>Before<Before removal 2 The nasal tip should have been slightly lifted like the purple line, but you can see it was completely drooping.. I looked like Squidward>After<1 week after removal (after stitch removal)>After<1 and a half weeks after removal>After<2 weeks after removal><Silicone.. the nose line was exactly this shape lol So when I saw the shape of the silicone, I got chills>I got a lot of help from this community, so I’m leaving a review to help others too. I decided to remove it 3? or 4 years after my nose surgery.
✔️Anxiety that even a small pimple might be inflammation >>Until recently I just lived thinking, well, it’s probably a pimple~ But when one appeared around January or February this year, I was suddenly overwhelmed with worry that it might be inflammation.. I searched all kinds of side effects.. It felt like a side effect would come soon... ✔️I didn’t like the shape after surgery >>A suddenly high bridge that didn’t harmonize with my face at all, and the nasal tip was a drooping nose.. My natural nose originally had a line. The bridge was quite low, but the nose line itself wasn’t ugly. After the surgery, they made the glabella area too high, so I looked like some Avatarㅠ They raised the glabella but didn’t raise the nasal tip, so the line became super weird... For a few months after surgery, I lived gloomily.. As time passed, the silicone gradually lowered too.. I just lived like that. It became a complex and stressed me out.. It’s ironic that I spent money because a low nose was my complex, but it stayed a complex,, They harvested ear cartilage and put it in the nasal tip lol but the ear cartilage displaced right away, so I don’t think it did its job at all.
The biggest reason for removal was the shape! If I had liked my nose, I would have lived with the psychological anxiety about pimples or inflammation. Anyway, that’s why I decided to remove it, and I wanted to do it quickly, but my schedule and the hospital’s schedule didn’t match, so it was a hassle. Now I’m 2 weeks post-op.
✔️Bruising + swelling: around days 5-6, the noticeable bruising and swelling were all gone (if you look at my previous post, you’ll know how bad it wasㅠㅠ) I didn’t eat anything special or do heat packs diligently.. I didn’t do any of that, and I applied bruise cream but my skin peeled, so I could only use it for 3 days. It just all went down on its own~~
✔️My satisfaction after surgery is so~ high First of all, even though it’s low, I’m so happy it became a nose with a pretty line. I’m less stressed when my side profile shows. Before, that complex was really severe. But since the bridge is low, my face definitely looks a bit flattened..^^ I thought this part through enough before removing it, so I don’t really feel a big sense of loss.
✔️Difference from my natural nose shape after surgery I don’t think there’s a difference in shape (low nose + slight bulbous nose). For people doing full removal like me, I think you can see it as returning to your natural nose. The bridge seems very sliiightly improved, but I’m only 2 weeks post-op, so it’s probably because the swelling hasn’t fully gone down yet^^ I hope the swelling stops going down now... I kept asking the consultant? the people at the hospital desk, because I had seen a lot of posts saying it becomes something between the natural nose and the operated nose. I asked whether it really goes back completely to the old nose, and every time they said, Yes!! It goes completely back to your own nose,, I guess becoming an intermediate nose is a somewhat unusual case.
✔️It was L-shaped silicone, and the doctor said it was good that I removed it.. There’s no inflammation now, but because it was L-shaped, inflammation might have occurred soon, so even though I spent a lot of money on removal (mid-2 million won range), I felt so relieved. My original surgery was ear cartilage + silicone, so I just had all of that removed. ✔️I only had full removal + alar cartilage repositioning.
Now that the surgery is over, I feel so at ease,, If you’ve thought about removal even once, please do it! You’ll keep thinking about it.
