Hehe, before and after. I’m a high school senior preparing for college entrance exams, and since I’m preparing for an acting/film major, appearance mattered even more.. I had a slight issue with the columella area at the tip of my nose and a slight hump, and wanting a prettier nose became the reason I decided to have surgery haha
First, I brought photos of the nose I wanted, and when I told them I wanted to do it without an implant, the director recommended osteotomy instead of silicone, so I ended up getting an osteotomy. Both the director and the manager who did my first consultation were kind and spoke in a trustworthy way, so after the consultation, I think I became even more certain that I should have the surgery.
Also, when I first went to the hospital, I thought the facilities were really important, and I liked seeing that the interior was well organized and that the consultation rooms and front desk were clean and tidy! I thought the interior spaces were neat and pretty, and I was so grateful that the staff at the desk answered my questions kindly whenever I asked ㅠㅠ
After surgery, maybe because I had an osteotomy, the pain was worse than I expected. On day 1, I remember being in so much pain that I just lay in bed.. My nose was blocked, so I couldn’t really swallow anything, and my throat was so, so dry that I had to basically become one with the humidifier.. Every time I moved, it felt like my nose was vibrating, so I could barely move ㅠㅠ
And on day 2, bruising started from around my eyes, and the swelling and bruising were really severe, but from day 4, they started going down quickly! Eating was so hard, but since the medicine contained antibiotics, I had to eat.. so I forced myself to endure it and eat, and I didn’t skip my medicine even once! I also applied the ointment the hospital gave me consistently, and I could visibly see that recovery was faster! But until days 2-3, it was hard to swallow food, so I only ate a little porridge at a time, and from day 4, I had no pain at all, I could taste food a little again, and I could walk around and eat well like usual!! Just know that days 1-2 are really, really painful and hard..
If you get through the difficult period, when you take photos, your nose looks so pretty even without editing, and it’s so pretty that even an edited nose can’t compare! Self-satisfaction.. I’m really, really so satisfied.. I used to always edit my nose first whenever I took side-profile photos, so after nose surgery, I’m really satisfied when taking photos, and people around me also told me a lot that my features look more defined and prettier, and that my image looks cleaner, so that made me feel really good.. But the bruising really isn’t going away easily, so I’m holding onto the hope and expectation that once the bruising fully fades, I’ll be able to go out bare-faced confidently and prettily.. I’m just waiting for the bruising to go away!
The photos are from now, 2 weeks post-op. What do you think!??!?
