Before <before surgery> After <1 week> After <2 weeks> After <3 weeks> I got it done by Director H.S.C. at Hit, and since it was rhinoplasty without an implant, there’s no foreign-body sensation, so it’s comfortable and nice!
My nasal bridge wasn’t exactly low to begin with, but I had a slight hump, and the height of my bridge and nasal tip was the same.
Also, my nose was really, really short, so even though I had a nasal bridge, it didn’t feel like a pretty nose at all.
At Hit, they said that because I already had a nasal bridge, I didn’t necessarily need to put in an implant.
So I went ahead and had nasal tip surgery with donated costal cartilage, plus hump correction + lateral osteotomy + nasolabial angle correction + columella correction + short nose correction + 3 types of bulbous nose correction.
They say that if ear cartilage or septal cartilage is used, the nasal tip can sometimes drop,
but since my nasal tip was supported with costal cartilage, I still haven’t had any nasal tip drooping!
I was debating between autologous costal cartilage and donated costal cartilage, but autologous costal cartilage requires harvesting cartilage from the rib,
so it would also mean making an incision on the chest. Donated costal cartilage took less surgery time and carried less risk, so I chose that.
On top of that, the nostril wing area that had looked a bit broad also feels sharper after the bulbous nose correction,
so I think getting rhinoplasty from Director Han Sang-cheol at Hit Plastic Surgery was a really, really good choice!
