5-Month Review After Double-Jaw Surgery

I had it done at a private clinic, and I’m living so well now lol I lift everything at the gym without weight restrictions, and I drink alcohol just fine too. A little while ago, I was walking and a stranger lightly bumped my jaw, so I got worried, but it was totally fine.. If a stranger saw me, they would never know I had surgery… I really became so much prettier, and I’m so satisfiedㅠㅠ Now I don’t even need to edit my photos when I take them haha

But of course there are side effects? changes? too, things that inevitably happen after surgery. 1. Skin sagging: I originally had almost no cheek fat or chin fat, but after surgery, a lot appearedㅠㅠ I’m in the low-to-mid 50 kg range, but I got a double chin. It was the first time in my life I heard that I have a lot of cheek fat.. 2. If I gain weight, it shows on my face right away.. seriously.. 3. Since my lower face became smaller, my cheekbones became a bit more prominent, and you know cheekbones are the facial bones that can sag the most if done wrong.. So I’m holding back the urge to get cheekbone surgery.. 4. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I get a few tiny millet-like pimples around the surgical pins? in the areas that were operated on and around the chin tip.. 5. There is also nasal wideningㅠ and since the lower face became smaller overall, my nose looks bigger. 6. Lips became smaller: My lips were originally on the larger side, but after surgery, maybe because my jaw was set back, they got really small lol

Because of the nasal widening and my lips, I am looking into nostril reduction and lip filler, but maybe because I’m the kind of person who isn’t too sensitive, the advantage of becoming prettier feels much bigger to me.. haha. But you know this is absolutely not a surgery you can go into without knowing what you’re getting intoㅠㅠ It was so painful and exhaustingㅠ And I also had major functional issues, so everyone who is sensitive to changes or is considering double-jaw surgery purely for cosmetic reasons should think carefully before deciding.. If you rotate from a normal bite, the chance of sagging is higher than for people with malocclusion like me.. Good luck to everyone considering surgeryㅠㅠ
