My left lateral cheekbone protruded much more than the right, so after thinking about it for a long time, I had surgery, and now just over 3 weeks have passed. For about the first 2 weeks, the gum area was so swollen that even eating was difficult. Now a lot of the major swelling has gone down, but sensation in the upper gum area still hasn’t fully returned, so it’s uncomfortable. The left side is still in a state where the cheekbone area is very swollen. Now that the swelling has gone down somewhat, maybe because surgery was done through the gum area, I still get occasional tooth pain, my face is still swollen, and the upper cheekbone area feels lumpy/tight. I think I’ll only know after more time passes and the swelling goes down.
