Since there are no steroids, you don't have to worry about side effects. Instead, I bruise a lot, so I have to apply the bruise cream they give me every time I get the injections. If you get them at short intervals, your face always has bruises.. There is an effect, but it's subtle enough that only I notice it...? The lasting power is short, so it feels like it comes back
