After that, I lived without paying much attention to it, but maybe because I’ve gotten older, the nasal tip gradually started to look compressed and began to look like a drooping, arrow-shaped nose. Since I’m on the older side, I thought and worried a lot about whether revision surgery was the right choice, but fortunately, I safely had revision rhinoplasty this time, and since three months have already passed, I’m posting another review.
I had surgery at a hospital specializing in revision surgery. I was told that the reason the nasal tip looked compressed was because all the cartilage inside had disappeared, so I had surgery to reconstruct that cartilage. It was really upsetting to learn, after so many years had passed, that my first surgery had been done incorrectly, but I’m glad I had surgery right away even now, and I’m grateful to the director for explaining it honestly.
As recommended, donated costal cartilage, septal cartilage, and ear cartilage were used. After the surgery at first, the swelling did not go down quickly, so I was extremely worried. My husband was also very worried. Fortunately, as my condition improved, the swelling started to go down, and now even the remaining minor swelling seems to have almost all subsided.
I’m posting a few selfies I took recently. By leaving reviews like this, checking the condition of my nose, keeping records, and receiving objective opinions, I feel much more confident~ It doesn’t look like an arrow-shaped nose anymore, right?
