A case where I got orthodontic treatment as a student because my parents told me to, without really knowing anything... One-line summary: if I look only at my teeth, I’m satisfied, but if I look at my face, I’m dissatisfied. My mouth wasn’t even protruding that severely, but because they pushed it in too much, my mouth became smaller overall.... So horizontally it looks too cramped? and that became a bit of a complex. From the side too, it looks like I lack volume, so I regret it a little. But I don’t have to cover my mouth when I smile, and since my teeth definitely became straighter, I did gain confidence. I got lip filler, so my lips became somewhat okay. Still, I do feel like they pushed it in too much... I think I’ll need additional procedures like reverse orthodontics or Russian lip filler. Everyone, if you’re getting orthodontic treatment to push your teeth in because of a protruding mouth, check your side profile and front view regularly, and if it looks corrected to you, make sure to tell them to stop. I was too young and it was my first time, so I didn’t know. Of course, looking at the CT, part of it is also because my jaw grew forward. Make a wise choice!
